Scott is an experienced physiotherapist with an extensive baseball background.  His primary clinical interest lies in the prevention and management of throwing related injuries and he enjoys assisting athletes of all levels get back to competition.

 

Following a successful baseball career that saw him play at the professional, National and State levels, Scott has now shifted his focus to helping Australian baseball players return to the field following injury. Scott has worked as a physiotherapist for the WA Women’s baseball team, the Australian U’18 World Cup team, and is currently a Physiotherapist with the Melbourne Aces in the Australian Baseball League.

 

Scott’s passion for helping injured athletes stems from his own injury experiences that plagued him early on in his playing career. Having personally sustained a number of injuries requiring extended time off from the field, he knows first hand, the importance of having access to appropriate medical care and advice.

 

Through partnering with the team at Australian Pitching Development, Scott’s goal is to provide access to high quality injury prevention and management information to Australian baseball players and coaches of all levels.

 

Scott currently resides in Melbourne and provides physiotherapy services at Alphington Sports Medicine Clinic located in Northcote, Victoria.

INJURY ASSESSMENT AND MANAGEMENT

Online or in person 1:1 physiotherapy appointments to assess, diagnose and develop rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.

ATHLETE PHYSICAL SCREENING

In person physical assessment to identify specific deficits in mobility, strength, control or movement quality that may adversely impact on baseball performance and/or injury prognosis.

PREVENTATIVE CARE AND INJURY MANAGEMENT EDUCATION

Online 1:1 or group education sessions to discuss the latest in arm care, recovery and injuries in baseball.
